What is an ICE DOCK?
An ICE DOCK is a premium floating dock system built for the toughest waterfront conditions. ICE DOCKS freeze-in HDPE technology is engineered to remain in the water year-round, eliminating the hassle of seasonal install and removal.
Constructed with advanced High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) pontoons, each system delivers exceptional strength, stability, and long-term performance.
The HDPE pontoons carry a limited lifetime guarantee and are environmentally safe designed to protect the surrounding water from leaching chemicals.
Our proprietary anchoring system allows docks to rise and fall naturally with changing water levels, while large-diameter pontoons provide outstanding buoyancy and stability. With durable metal or composite framing and low-maintenance decking.
ICE DOCKS systems are built to last for decades.
Do you build floating bridges and boardwalks, not just docks?
Yes. Along with floating docks, ICE Docks installs boardwalks, floating bridges, fishing piers, park bridges, golf course bridges, and paths across water and wetland, using HDPE floats and helical-pile foundations.
What is a floating bridge?
A floating bridge is a walkway supported by buoyant HDPE floats rather than fixed pilings, so it rises and falls with the water. It is well suited to crossings over lakes, ponds, and channels where water levels change.
How do you install a path across a wetland or swamp?
For wetland and swamp path installation we use helical piles driven into the ground for a stable foundation, paired with rot-proof materials that hold up in saturated soil. This creates a durable walkway without disturbing the surrounding environment.
Can you build bridges for golf courses and parks?
Yes. We install golf course bridges that cross water hazards while adding to the look of the course, as well as park bridges and footbridges for city, regional, and community spaces.
Do you handle commercial and HOA projects?
Yes. ICE Docks designs commercial floating dock systems and HOA waterfront amenities, from large boardwalks to shared dock and bridge installations that add value to a community.
What are HDPE pontoons?
HDPE floating pontoons are manufactured from heavy-wall High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) material originally engineered for demanding underground applications. Each pontoon features fully capped ends and is designed to withstand prolonged exposure to water, freezing temperatures, and seasonal environmental stresses. The HDPE pontoons are specifically engineered to remain in place through the winter, allowing the dock system to freeze-in without requiring seasonal removal. Their robust construction provides exceptional structural integrity and long-term buoyancy while eliminating common failure points associated with conventional floating dock materials.Quick-install mounting brackets simplify pontoon-to-deck connections, allowing for efficient assembly and installation while maintaining a rigid, durable dock structure.Compared with traditional floating dock materials, HDPE provides a virtually maintenance-free solution with no susceptibility to rust, rot, cracking, or leaks. The pontoons are engineered for long-term performance and are backed by a limited lifetime warranty.
