Straight floating pier on a Minnesota lake

Boardwalk, Bridge & Pier Installation

Beyond docks, ICE Docks handles boardwalk installation and floating bridges installation for parks, communities, and commercial sites. We build access across water and wetland that lasts, using HDPE floats and helical-pile foundations with marine-grade or composite materials. Looking for a dock instead? See our floating dock installation.

Fishing Piers

Our fishing pier installation gives anglers a stable, safe platform built to take constant use and exposure, with optional features like fish-cleaning stations and shade.

Bridges & Paths

We handle park bridges for city and regional parks, golf course bridge installation that adds to the look of the course while crossing water hazards, and path installation across natural areas. For wetlands we do swamp path installation, with helical piles and rot-proof materials that hold up in saturated ground.

Commercial & HOA Projects

Many of these are larger projects. We design commercial floating dock systems for businesses and resorts, and HOA docks and amenities that add shared value to a community’s waterfront.

Boardwalk & Bridge FAQs

Do you build floating bridges and boardwalks, not just docks?

Yes. Along with floating docks, ICE Docks installs boardwalks, floating bridges, fishing piers, park bridges, golf course bridges, and paths across water and wetland, using HDPE floats and helical-pile foundations.

A floating bridge is a walkway supported by buoyant HDPE floats rather than fixed pilings, so it rises and falls with the water. It is well suited to crossings over lakes, ponds, and channels where water levels change.

For wetland and swamp path installation we use helical piles driven into the ground for a stable foundation, paired with rot-proof materials that hold up in saturated soil. This creates a durable walkway without disturbing the surrounding environment.
